Frank Huang
Chairperson - PSMC
After graduating from the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University and receiving PhD degree of Physiology from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, Dr. Frank Huang was a professor at National Taiwan University and Taipei Medical University. Then he founded UMAX Computer Corporation in 1987 and Powerchip Group in 1994.
In recognition of his great contribution for the high tech industry in Taiwan, Dr. Huang was elected as Chairman of Taipei Computer Association in 2001, Chairman of Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association in 2004 and also as Chairman of World Semiconductor Council in 2008.
Currently, Dr. Huang is Chairman/CEO of Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation and Chairman of Taiwan Advanced Automotive Technology Development Association.
