Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah is an active humanitarian committed to promoting tolerance, compassion, and empathy between people of all backgrounds. Her work focuses on promoting cross-cultural dialogue, advocating for refugee rights, and finding comprehensive solutions to the world’s greatest challenges.
Alongside her efforts in Jordan to empower local communities and drive innovation and entrepreneurship through society, Queen Rania serves as an influential global voice challenging stereotypes of Arabs and Muslims, and fostering greater understanding between people of all faiths. She is also recognized for her efforts to garner global support for the plight of refugees.
Through her position on their boards, Her Majesty contributes to the work of the United Nations Foundation and the World Economic Forum. She is also UNICEF’s first Eminent Advocate for Children, a member of the International Rescue Committee’s Board of Advisors, and a member of the Earthshot Prize Council.
In recognition of her work, Queen Rania has received a number of prestigious local, regional, and international awards. These include the Foreign Press Association’s Humanitarian Award; the World Childhood Award; the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award; and the Path to Peace Award, received jointly with His Majesty King Abdullah II
