Laurie Gilchrist is the Governance, Risk and Compliance Lead for Internet Regulation across Deloitte’s EMEA team, focusing on the impact of internet regulation on digital platform companies and in the wider TMT and Consumer industries.
 
With over twelve years of governance, risk and compliance experience across the public and private sector, Laurie now specialises in regulatory compliance within the TMT industry. Laurie also acts as a regulatory subject matter expert across a number of different regulatory domains including EU GDPR, EU DSA, EU DMA, EU ND4C and UK OSB.
 
Laurie's clients include several very large online platforms and search engines where he is supporting their EU DSA and DMA readiness programmes. He has first-hand experience of the challenges in complying with the EU GDPR, having helped over 30 companies with their compliance journeys. 
 
Laurie is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Audit (CMIIA), and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E).
