Matthew Rosseinsky

Professor of Chemistry - University of Liverpool

Matt Rosseinsky works at the Materials Innovation Factory at the University of Liverpool – a £120m scale, state-of-the art facility that is pioneering digital approaches to materials discovery and exploitation. His team combines artificial intelligence, machine learning and physics-based computation with automation to create new materials in the laboratory.
His work addresses the experimental realisation of the materials that are needed to meet the challenge of a sustainable future, harnessing tools spanning physical and computer science to accelerate discovery.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and Royal Society Research Professor in Materials Chemistry. He received the 2023 Eni Energy Frontiers Award for the digital design and discovery of next-generation energy materials.
