Robyn Scott is co-founder and CEO of Apolitical, the world’s only online learning platform
and global network focused exclusively on governments. Apolitical’s mission is to build 21st century governments that work for people and the planet. Apolitical recently launched the Government AI Campus, a bold new programme to prepare policymakers to lead in the age of AI.

Robyn is an investor in and advisor to multiple social enterprise startups and is on the investment committee for 100x, the London School of Economics’ incubator for mission-driven organisations improving the lives of a billion people or more. She is also part of the World Economic Forum’s soon to launch AI Governance Alliance. Robyn was featured in the InspiringFifty Top 50 Women in European Tech list 2022. She has been named one of WIRED’s 50 People About to Change the World. Together with her Apolitical co-founder Lisa Witter, she was the recipient of the Creative Bureaucracy Award in 2020. 

Robyn is an ambassador for the Access to Medicine Index, an advisor to the Responsible Mining Index, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and a Gates Cambridge Scholar. She has a BSc in Bioinformatics from Auckland University and a Masters in Bioscience Enterprise from Cambridge University. 

Prior to Apolitical, Robyn co-founded OneLeap, an executive education company, and several Southern African non-profits teaching coding and income generation skills to prisoners, ex-offenders and vulnerable youth against the backdrop of the AIDS epidemic. She has also written an acclaimed memoir about growing up in Botswana, and worked for the Financial Times.
