Sylvia Malo

University Engagement Programme Manager - Bayes Business School

 
Sylvia is the University Engagement Programme Manager at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), a leading global Business School in the City of London. Her work bridges academic excellence, community engagement, and people skills development through coaching. She leads a practical skills-building programme of an innovative experiential learning module called Mentoring and Coaching for Leadership. The programme matches second- and third-year coaches to first year and foundation year mentees to create a real-life experience for students to test and refine core people skills learned in the classroom. The success of the near-peer student support programme at Bayes has led to its expansion to other Schools at City, University of London.
 
Sylvia has over 10 years of experience in the field of education including teaching and curriculum development, research and evaluation, and programme design and management. Prior to Bayes, she led a mentoring programme at an education charity in London linking undergraduate volunteer coaches with disadvantaged young people in secondary schools around London and conducted an impact research project for an international network of schools and educational programmes.
 
Sylvia has a BA from Harvard University and an MPA from London School of Economics and Political Science.
