Chief Executive - Centre for Long-Term Resilience

Angus is Chief Executive of the Centre for Long-Term Resilience, an independent think tank whose mission is to transform global resilience to extreme risks.

CLTR focuses primarily on AI and biosecurity — two areas of risk where effective governance today could substantially mitigate both current and future threats.

A lawyer by training, Angus was formerly Head of External Affairs at the UK Department for International Development, where he also served as a policy adviser and speechwriter in the Secretary of State’s office.

Angus holds an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford and is a Research Affiliate at Cambridge University's Centre for the Study of Existential Risk.
