Dia leads the design and development of capabilities to align HSBC’s financed emissions to net-zero by 2050. This encompasses sector and portfolio decarbonisation targets for the Group, and the means by which these targets can be realised by harnessing and improving data quality, modelling projected outcomes and influencing Group strategy. As an expert within Climate Aligned Finance her insights shape products and portfolio management across all business lines, helping the Bank engage with clients to help them achieve a just transition.
She has a record of delivering strategic, data driven transformation across financial services; synthesising macroeconomic trends, geopolitical dynamics and regulatory developments to deliver complex operational change.
Dia has an undergraduate degree in Financial Economics and Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, and a graduate degree in Financial Risk Management from the London School of Economics.
