Dr Kat Arney is the founder and Creative Director of First Create The Media - an award-winning communications strategy and content agency for the life sciences, working with clients ranging from start-ups to international companies and research organisations. She is the author of three popular science books, including ‘Rebel Cell: Cancer, evolution and the science of life’ and ‘Herding Hemingway’s Cats: Understanding how our genes work’, and is the presenter of the Genetics Unzipped podcast and the series Ingenious on BBC Radio 4, exploring the science and stories behind our genes.
