Ashley Lannquist

Digital Finance Expert - IMF

Ashley Lannquist is a Digital Finance Expert in the Digital Advisory Unit of the International Monetary Fund. She contributes to the IMF's activities and advisory related to CBDC technology, policy and design. Ashley previously led CBDC efforts at the World Economic Forum between 2018-2021, where she authored numerous CBDC reports including the "Central Bank Digital Currency Policy-Maker Toolkit" that has been employed by numerous central banks to evaluate CBDC. Ashley is also a member of the Bank of England's CBDC Technology Forum.

Prior to focusing on CBDC, Ashley managed projects related to blockchain and crypto-assets, including several projects at the World Economic Forum. She holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was Co-founder and Co-president of the Haas FinTech Club and a BA with honors in Economics and European Studies from Barnard College of Columbia University. Ashley is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and member of American Mensa.
