Janet Scotcher joined Cambridge in May 2018 and was appointed Group Director of Human Resources and Transformation in April 2019. She is an experienced Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, having progressed her career within management and director roles in the NHS and most recently in the scientific research industry.

Throughout her career, Janet has focused on improving outcomes for children and young people. She has a broad background in both Human Resources and general management, with experience in taking organisations through cultural transformation.

Prior to joining Cambridge, Janet was Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development at the Wellcome Sanger Institute with responsibilities spanning organisational change, HR services and partnering, learning and development, and employee engagement.

She has also previously worked as Director of Human Resources at Hinchingbrooke Health Care National Health Service Trust and General Manager for Children’s Services at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough National Health Service Trust.

With a degree in tropical disease and accreditation as an Agile practitioner, Janet is a graduate from Lord Ashcroft International Business School and Anglia Ruskin University.
