Philip Rowley has been Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Sony Pictures Entertainment since 2016. He is responsible for the company’s financial affairs and oversees SPE’s information technology, facilities, procurement, and security, safety, and sustainability divisions.

Philip has previously held roles as CEO of AOL Europe, Group Finance Director at Kingfisher plc, the UK retail conglomerate, and CFO of EMI Music Worldwide. During his six years in that role, he led the acquisitions of Virgin Music, Chrysalis Records, and IRS Records.

Philip has held several non-executive board seats including ARM Holdings plc, where he successively chaired the audit and remuneration committees, and HMV Group plc where he was Chairman. He has also been involved with several startups, both as founder (Tribeca Technologies in New York and TablePouncer in the UK) and has acted as advisor and board member to a number of early-stage companies.

He is a trustee of the London Firebird Orchestra and in his spare time plays blues guitar.
